Privacy Policy

ThynkIQ ("ThynkIQ", "we", "us") publishes interactive thinking tools, quizzes, experiments, and articles at thynkiq.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. ThynkIQ has no user accounts or passwords. We only store information about you if you choose to save your results, as described below.
Information we collect
We don't require sign-up to read articles, take quizzes, or use tools. The data that does flow through the site comes from these sources:
- Usage analytics. If you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner, we use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the site, for example clicks, scrolling and anonymised session recordings. Clarity sets its own cookies and processes this data on our behalf. If you decline or never answer the banner, Clarity does not load. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
- Quiz and assessment answers. Answers to quizzes, the Thinking Style Assessment, and interactive experiments are processed in your browser to show you a result. Some results are kept in your browser's local storage so you can revisit them; they stay on your device unless you choose to save them as described next.
- Saved results. If you choose to save your results under a handle, we store that handle, an email address if you provide one, and your saved results in our database. The email is used only to protect your handle; we don't send marketing email. Your handle and saved results can be viewed by anyone who knows the handle, so don't use your real name or other personal details as a handle. Your email is never shown publicly.
Cookies and advertising
The only optional cookies ThynkIQ uses are the Microsoft Clarity analytics cookies described above, and only after you accept them. We don't set advertising cookies. If we enable display advertising (for example, Google AdSense), Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. This policy will be updated with specifics if and when advertising goes live.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of third-party infrastructure and technology providers to run ThynkIQ:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers used for application hosting, content delivery, database storage of saved results, and anonymous performance monitoring.
- Search engine webmaster tools used to monitor site health and indexation in search results.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data it processes on our behalf.
Children's privacy
ThynkIQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights and choices
If you haven't saved results under a handle, we generally hold nothing about you to access, correct, or delete, and you can clear locally stored results by clearing your browser's site data. If you have saved results and want them corrected or deleted, contact us via our Contact page with your handle (and the email you used, if any). The same applies to questions about data handled by a third-party service we use, or about this policy generally.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves, for example when we launch advertising or new tools. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
